About
Hello, I’m Charlotte. I discovered the GYROTONIC® Method in 2009 while dancing professionally and recovering from a back hernia — and it brought so much freedom and joy back into my body. After years travelling the world as a dancer, I now teach the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Methods in my hometown, Aix-en-Provence, sharing this beautiful work in French, English, and Italian.
As a Master Trainer and forever learner, I love guiding people to feel stronger, more connected, and to bring the joy of movement into their everyday life — for themselves, their clients, and their communities.
In 2013, I founded GYROTONIC® Aix-en-Provence, where I am proud to offer regular classes, specialized workshops, and professional teacher trainings in the heart of beautiful Provence. In 2024, I became a GYROTONIC® Master Trainer, and since 2017 I have been a Pre-Trainer in Gyrokinesis®, which allows me to guide students and future instructors with the same care and depth that I have received throughout my own journey.
I teach in French, English, and Italian, and I love creating a welcoming space for people from different backgrounds to connect through this work.
My Master Trainer journey has been profoundly shaped by extraordinary mentors:
✨ Lucrezia Caricola my referral Master Trainer for over 10 years. With Lucrezia, I built the foundations of both my GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® practice. I learned the value of clear guidance and the artistry of adapting the work to each body with precision and care.
✨ Debra Rose assisting her revealed new ways to organize and structure a course, and I loved discovering her unique pedagogy, which balances creativity and clarity for each student’s needs.
✨ Ferdinando Gagliardi with Ferdinando, I explored how to break down the system into clear, simple pieces. I really appreciated his way of connecting exercises so that they feel both accessible and beautifully coherent.
✨ Anke Hauerstein my supervision with Anke opened a deeper dimension of the method. Her integration of Juliu Horvath’s energetic approach and her knowledge of Qigong inspired me to bring more flow and energy awareness into my teaching.
✨ Regula Gadient Perfetti my certification with Regula in Paris taught me so much about the biomechanics of movement. Her attention to precise connections within the body showed me how to blend structural detail with fluidity and grace.
Beyond these key mentors, I have been fortunate to continue learning from many brilliant teachers:
✨ Juliu Horvath, the creator of the GYROTONIC® Method — whose rejuvenation courses and wise words always remind us to stay curious and open, connecting deeply with the spirit of the work.
✨ Paul Horvath, Juliu’s brother — for his special application courses that deepen practical understanding and bring new insights to how we adapt the Method.
✨ Robert Meggle —for his expertise in applications for runners and how to adapt the work for athletic performance.
✨ Adrianna Thompson for the Dancer’s Program; her spirit of joy and talented work have inspired me to bridge my dance background with the Method in the most uplifting way.
✨ Valeria Paes Mauriz for her prenatal and postnatal workshops; I learned from her both as a teacher and as a pregnant participant.
✨ Uwe Herbstreit, Luca Biasini, Silvia Frosali, Sher Borrel, Jane Von Bieberstein, Sebastien Thill, Martha Mason, Irene Rampino, Donna Place, Aline Goeppert — each of these generous teachers has offered me new perspectives, from biomechanical detail to creative and energetic exploration.
✨ Don Friedewald and Jackson Jolley Kellogg — for sharing the most present work from Juliu with such grace and clarity, keeping his vision alive in the purest way.
Of course, these are all the amazing teachers I have learned from — and while I am not a mix of them, they have each inspired me deeply to shape my own way of teaching. My style remains true to who I am: a professional dancer dedicated to offering high-quality guidance with warmth, clarity, and presence.
When I teach, whether in a teacher training or a studio class, my greatest wish is that people feel fully confident and equipped with the tools they need to share this work with their own students and communities. And for those who come to practice here in the studio, I want them to feel truly nurtured — to leave with a sense of connection that they can bring back into their daily life and spirit.
As I am a forever learner, I remain eager to continue growing, so I can share the most accurate, authentic work — and the true joy of this Methodology — with everyone I meet.
I look forward to welcoming you soon to our studio and to sharing this beautiful journey with you, here in the heart of Provence.
