born to Modena, Italia,Giacomo Bavutti is a UNESCO Conseil International De la Danse certified Dance Trainer, Progressing Ballet Technique instructor, certified in Pilates Matwork by SteelePilates.
He started dancing with Annarita Ronconi, focusing on the ISTD exams of modern dance completing the highest exam with “distinction”. Mr. Bavutti trained in theatre dance, tap, improvisation, jazz, and contemporary. He performed with Weltanschauung Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ms. Ronconi. Mr. Bavutti was awarded 1st prize soloist at “Norcia in Danza” national competition, and 1st prize duet at the “International Dance Competition City of Milan”. Mr. Bavutti graduated from the Professional Training Program at the Martha Graham School where he performed “Celebration” at the New York City Center during Martha Graham Dance Company’s 90th season and continued on to dance for Martha Graham 2 Dance Company, performing Graham’s repertory and works by Stuart Hodes, Adam Baruch. He entered his fourth and last season with Nimbus Dance. During these past 5 years in New York he performed works by Sofia Nappi, Yoshito Sakuraba, Dawn Bazemore, Vernard Gilmore, Darshan Bhuller, Sam Pott, Kate Griffler, Alessandro Vacca and Daniela Rapisarda. Giacomo performed with Miriam Barbosa Dance between 2018/20 in New York, Colorado, Italy, Mexico. He was hired by Martha Graham Dance Company as Apprentice in Jan 2020. Despite the pandemic, he was able to perform at Aspen Fringe Fall Fest in Sep 2020 as guest dancer for Soulskin Dance.
