About

Cherie DeHaven is a GYROTONIC® GYROKINESIS® Master Teacher and movement educator based in Maui, Hawaii.  Cherie has a background in yoga, dance, expressive arts, somatic movement, and over 30 years as a student of meditation and esoteric spiritual teaching.  She is a natural mover and lover of life.

Cherie believes that with clear intention, focused attention and consistent practice any person can live and move freely through life with strength, centeredness and grace.

Cherie helps students find a positive and receptive place from which to cultivate an enjoyable movement practice, whether they wish to develop a personal practice or to teach as well.  It is Cherie's wish to facilitate the creation of conscious embodiment in herself and her students.  Her aim is to both understand the anatomy of the physical body and the makeup of the subtle body so we can experience more than just the external physical expression, but  a deeper, more integrated whole being.  She is committed to helping people bring conscious awareness to their bodies and themselves to create balance, freedom, strength, flexibility, healing and wholeness.

As well as training with Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis creator Juliu Horvath, Cherie has trained extensively with many Specialised Master Trainers in the US, the UK, Europe and Brasil.
