
Laila Gozzi
About
Laila Gozzi is an Italian performing artist, a dancer, and trainer living in The Netherlands. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Arts from CODARTS University of the Arts, where she specialized in modern and contemporary dance, and Master's Degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship from ERASMUS University.
She has been collaborating as a dancer with Kalpanarts since 2021.
Before this engagement, she cultivated a diverse repertoire in the performing arts. Notably, she has been part of various pieces by choreographer Ann Van den Broek, worked for the visionary American theatre director Robert Wilson, and embarked on a concert tour with the rock band dEUS. Laila has also contributed to other projects, such as a film production by Rauwkost Collective and a dance piece by Malcolm Sutherland.
Her performative career started during her studies, where she danced in works of repertoire from Martha Graham, Jiří Kylián, Ton Simons, Juanjo Arques, and Kyle Abraham, among others.
Since when she was studying dance in the academy Laila trains using the GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® method and is a certified GYROKINESIS® trainer.
