About
My fascination and study of the human body has woven through every aspect of life from whitewater kayaking and rafting, yoga and meditation, massage, ceramics and raising children.
At the early age of 14, I began teaching whitewater kayaking and rafting skills as well as leading wilderness river trips. This love of rivers, nature, and guiding connected me to the powerful life giving current that flows through all things, including the human body. My demanding physical life lead to several injuries that caused lower back pain, shoulder, wrist and neck stiffness. Committed to learning how to support a healthy, balanced body, I dedicated myself to regular yoga and meditation. In addition to completing a degree in Transpersonal Psychology, I studied bodywork, as a way to nurture my own spirit and physical well being. In my late 20's ready to settle down, I became a mother and a professional ceramic artist. As my body continued to struggle with demanding physical endeavors, it became time to look for a different, less physical use of my skills. For the next ten years, I enjoyed a successful career in Real Estate, guiding people through the maze of legal contracts and life transitions. Finally, the time came when I was able to dedicate myself full-time to the inner and outer movements that promote healing.
I became a Gyrotonic trainer following an inspired vision that occurred during my very first session in 2014. It was truly an inner calling that set me on this path. Fortunate to study and train under Master Trainer Hideto Heshiki, I am ever inspired by his deep knowledge of the body. In service to the life giving flow, it is with true joy I share with you the Gyrotonic method in addition to Wellness sessions.
