In this Master Class, Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Master Trainer Rich O’Connor shares ideas and concepts for integrating a strap to deepen the connection to Gyrotonic principles. These strategies were originally inspired by Juliu’s explorations using a towel, and later a strap, into his own work.

Part of the video will demonstrate how a strap can be used to reinforce Narrowing the Pelvis, and the remainder focuses on upper body and shoulder anatomy. This work can be used when teachers or clients require a more gentle approach to releasing neck and shoulder tension, and also when looking to build stronger connections for more advanced work. It is also a great way to bridge the gap between Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis movements, making for a wonderful transition to or from the equipment and Gyrokinesis classes.

Required Equipment & Props:

You will need:
- two 6 foot long yoga straps or belts
-A Gyrokinesis Chair (or another stable chair or bench)
