Roxanne Maier is an independent dance teacher, choreographer, and certified GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® instructor.  She has comprehensive pedagogical knowledge of Ballroom and Latin dance as well as deep understanding of classical dance.  Her knowledge of how two bodies work in tandem translates well to how one works with Gyrotonic equipment.   Ms. Maier owns and operates her own dance studio and Gyrotonic Center with her Chiropractor husband in St Louis, MO. 

Convergence Body and Dance was formed in 2005 and is in a 5000 square foot building in Brentwood.  The studio has beautiful natural light and tremendous energy and flow.  The Center is about feeling good and moving well and is the fruition of years of planning, training and hard work.  In addition to daily classes, Convergence works closely with the community partnering with PBS for summer health series, with the American Parkinson’s Disease Association and local schools working with kids for new ways to stay fit and have fun.

Roxanne is a Certified GYROTONIC® Level 1 Trainer, Level 2 Trainer and Certified GYROKINESIS® Instructor.  She has enriched her movement knowledge by completing the GYROTONIC® Applications for Dancers course, is certified to teach on the specialized Jump Stretch Board, the Archway and has continued her training most recently with Fascial Body work.  The private and serene Gyrotonic suite has 3 Gyrotonic Towers, a Jump-Stretch Board and an Archway.

Through her experiences as a former professional competitive Ballroom and Latin dancer, choreographer, business owner, and movement educator, Ms Maier can provide students of all levels with the essential guidance and instruction to realize their full potential.  The Gyrotonic Method can help you move freely, with strength and power.  Roxanne's ability to translate the work to meet the needs and goals of the student is one of her best qualities as a trainer.
