About
Breath becomes energy
When you reach deep within yourself and take a full, centering breath, the world’s pressures start to float away. I focus on blending breath with movement to guide releasing common tensions due to stresses. As you travel your personal journey to better health, I’d like to help you on this path with insights and guidance to create opportunities to feel the best you can.
In 2002, I took my first Gyrokinesis® class from Magali Messac of Gyrotonic Seattle. The Gyrokinesis method is a group practice of the Gyrotonic® Expansion System. I had been on a hiatus from dance due to injury. This Gyrokinesis class intertwined breath with movement and delivered a healing energy. Through my personal practice and training to become a certified Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic trainer, I’ve minimized my injury limitations and strengthened overused muscles to have an increasing range of motion.
For more than 20 years, I studied dance including ballet, ballroom, contemporary, and jazz in New York, Seattle, and Tacoma. I am also an avid knitter Ravelry (@KMDesigns) and content strategist in the tech industry. By teaching and practicing the Gyrokinesis and Gyrotonic methods, I stay healthy with a full range of movement.
