About
Sophie Daniels (The Founder)
Sophie Daniels is a South African-born Massage Therapist, Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis Instructor, and certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. With over two decades of experience in bodywork and movement therapy, her approach is rooted in a deep understanding of the body’s natural ability to heal when given the right support.
Her professional journey began at the Australian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT), where she qualified in Aromatherapy and Remedial Massage Therapy in 2007. In 2008, she was introduced to the Gyrotonic Method in Sydney, drawn to its fluid, multidimensional movement system. She later certified as a Gyrotonic Instructor and taught in Sydney until 2010. She also worked for several years as an interior designer before fully transitioning into the healing arts.
Sophie has lived in South Africa, the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands, and recently returned to South Africa after 26 years abroad. She now lives with her family, drawing on her rich international experiences to offer a warm, inclusive, and culturally sensitive approach to wellbeing.
Her path led naturally to the study of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of medicine rooted in the Sanskrit word 'Yuj', meaning to unite. Sophie holds a Bachelor's degree in Ayurveda and completed her clinical internship at Vaidyagrama Hospital in Coimbatore, India. Her expertise spans Ayurvedic massage, yoga, nutrition, and lifestyle guidance.
Sophie loves to see and meet people exactly where they are—physically, emotionally, and energetically. She believes in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can reconnect with themselves and their bodies. She is passionate about how complementary modalities—such as massage, Gyrotonic movement, and Ayurvedic principles—can awaken the body’s innate healing intelligence, leaving clients feeling more alive, mobile, and at home in their own skin.
She looks forward to welcoming you—whether it’s on the mat, on the equipment, or in a conversation toward greater wellbeing.
