About
Marsha Barsky is Chair and Professor of Dance at Kennesaw State University with over two decades of experience in dance, wellness, and education. Marsha brings a unique blend of artistry, somatic intelligence, and mindful movement into every session.
She discovered GYROKINESIS® in 2017 while attending an American College Dance Association conference—an experience that ignited her passion for the method and its transformative potential. Since then, she has earned certifications in both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®, and integrates these practices into her teaching, research, and daily movement life.
Marsha is also a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and a registered yoga instructor. Her approach is grounded in deep listening, creative well-being, and the cultivation of embodied awareness for dancers and non-dancers alike. She offers thoughtful, personalized instruction that supports strength, freedom, and ease of movement.
