In May 2011,  GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS Master Trainer, Debra Rose conducted a retreat in Ubud, Bali. Ubud is the town that author, Elizabeth Gilbert wrote about in the book/movie  Eat, Pray, Love .  It is a really special place and the perfect setting for a Gyrokinesis workshop.  Here are some words from Debra about the retreat:

Bali is an island located in South East Asia near the equator.  We had our retreat in the town of Ubud, which is up in the mountains where there are cool breezes all the time.  The weather was perfect.  The climate allows the body to open up with such ease it is a pleasure.                                                                                                                                                                                              Ubud is considered the artistic and spiritual center of the Island.  Bali is literally covered in flowers; making it one of the most stunning places I have ever seen.   The energy of the place is so relaxed.  These are some of the reasons I choose this location to create my first self -hosted travel training.

I taught a three-day update for licensed GYROKINESIS^®  trainers.  We then we had a day off and proceeded with a three-day extravaganza that had no prerequisite.  There were trainers who have been teaching over a decade mixed with people who have very little experience with the system all together in one event.  We all learned a lot, laughed a lot, worked hard and had a ball.

On our day off some people choose to go shopping.  There are wonderful crafts, the clothes are unusual, and the prices can’t be beat.  Forrest and I did an eco bike trip from the top of the Penginapan Volcano back to Ubud. They drove us to the top of the volcano early in the morning and served us breakfast there. Then we picked out our bikes and rode down stopping along the way at different sites such as this amazing tree where Forrest found his most exciting friend.
